m y s t e r y p l a y . . . . .

conceptual urban sketches using the fractured four square grid then photoshopped to give more contrast to areas with better negative space. Initially using a four square grid, divided randomly into triangles, squares and rectangles, then quickly coloured in using trace overlay. The result is quite fascinating because the grid can still be seen in parts where the line of sight connects forms within the 2D image.
The first is the original showing clustering of elements used in the equus assignment, the second a cropped area with great negative space movement and voiding throughout, the third(my favourite) which can show movement between the elements, good example of density and negative space.
